Jerry Ray King Arrested
On New Charges of Sexual Abuse Locally
Bond Set at One Million Dollars

King was arrested following an investigation by the Haleyville Police Department and charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years of Age. The alleged incident involves a 7 year old Haleyville girl. He is presently being held in the Winston County jail under $1 million bond.

Judge had made a decision based on the February 15, 2008 hearing this would not have happened to this child." King is currently at the Winston County jail pending a variety of hearings in WInston County. The cost to the citizens of Winston County over the course of the next several years is unknown at this time. A verdict on guilt or innocent could take up to 2 - 3 years. |
